History:
Alpine Post Office was established in Bonneville County, Idaho on August 7, 1918. Mabel Kizer was the first postmaster. Its location went back and forth between Bonneville County and Alpine a number of times until August 31, 1959 when it was discontinued. Its mail was then handled by the Thayne Post Office.
