History:

Columbine Post Office was established on August 13, 1925 with Oscar B. Hedemann as postmaster. It was discontinued on April 21, 1944 and its mail then handled by Midwest Post Office.

Near the south end of the field (Salt Creek) there is a new village known as the Ohio-Columbine camp, which consists of a long row of modern houses, which flank the main street, and in addition to these houses there are many other comfortable residences on the other streets which have been laid out.
