Origin of Name:

Corbett Dam lies between Powell and Cody on the Shoshone River. It diverts the water from the Shoshone Dam and stores it upon the lands adjacent to Powell, Deaver, and Cowley. Another Dam lower down the river diverts the water for Lovell and lower towns.
