History:

Croton Post Office was established on January 13, 1896 with George W. Savage as its postmaster. It was discontinued on February 12, 1897 and its mail handled by Felix Post Office. It was re-established on May 15, 1901 but its name changed to Echeta Post Office on March 20, 1907. A Croton Post Office was again established on March 1, 1923 with Harry Faulkerson as postmaster. It was discontinued on November 5, 1941 and its mail then handled by the Echeta Post Office.
