Located where Horse Creek empties into the Green River. Nearby is the site of the Green River rendezvous of the fur era, and of the Father DeSmet monument, where the first Catholic mass in the Rockies was delivered in 1840. Named for the one of the earliest settlers, a man named Daniel.
