Origin of Name: 

Once called Germania Bench for the settlement of German farmers. Name was changed to Emblem due to prejudice from the World War. The settlement is known for its fine farm land and extensive crops of beans and beets.

History:

Emblem Post Office was established as Germania Post Office on May 10, 1899. Its name was changed to Emblem on September 14, 1918. Henry A. Wegner was Emblem's first postmaster.
