History:
Lookout Post Office was established on July 15, 1869 with J. R. Morton as its first postmaster. It was discontinued on February 13, 1871 but re-established on December 22, 1879. It was discontinued again on Feburary 5, 1880, re-established on October 11, 1880 and discontinued for a final time on April 30, 1948. The mail was then handled by Bosler Post Office.
