The Medicine Wheel is shrouded in ancient myth, and is beyond the reach of history. Many scholars believe this relic dates back to prehistoric origin. The Medicine Wheel is located on the summit of Medicine Mountain and consists of thousands of slabs of boulders and limestone. The wheel has a circumference of 245 feet. The middle of the wheel consists of a three foot stone slab resembling a hub of a wheel. Some scholars say that the ancient Indians met here and was a place of communion with the Great Spirit. Others believe this was a place where chief Indians met to obtain their medicine. Countless myths have risen over the ages and will continue through the turn of time.
