Morse Post Office was established on September 7, 1894 in Crook County prior to the formation of Campbell County. The first postmaster was Wayne E. Morse. It was discontinued on July 18, 1911 but re-established on April 26, 1915. It was discontinued again on February 29, 1916 and the mail then handled by the Gillette Post Office.
