Ouzel Falls received its name from the Water Ouzel, a bird of curious habits, numbers of which make their homes in the vicinity of the falls. Ouzel Falls, also called the Falls of the Upper Gros Ventre, are located high up in the Gros Ventre Mountains near the headwaters of the Upper Gros Ventre River.
