History:

Pitchfork Post Office was established on February 20, 1914 with Pearl C. Newell as postmaster. It was discontinued on December 31, 1952 after which its mail was handled by the Meeteetse Post Office. Charles J. Belden was postmaster from December 9, 1915 until April, 1943.
