Origin of Name:
Located south of the Hoback River near the mouth of the Hoback Canyon. There are mountain sheep in that vicininty and someone found a ram’s horn on the summit of the mountain. Like so many other cases it was referred to as Ram’s Horn Peak and the name stuck.
