Creek, Yellowstone National Park, Wyo., rising ... on east slope of Mount Everts, flowing east into Blacktail Deer Creek.

Named by the U. S. Geological Survey in 1878. Refers to the incident in which Truman C. Everts, of the 1870 Washburn Expedition, was lost for 37 days in Yellowstone. The name was given to the stream because it was thought to be where Everts was "rescued." However, that was not the case.
