History:
Rock Creek Post Office was established on September 10, 1868 with Alexander C. Irwin as its first postmaster. It was discontinued on March 17, 1869 but re-established on September 13, 1876. On August 27, 1894 its name was changed to Rockcreek Post Office. It was discontinued on May 31, 1910 and its mail then handled by the Rock River Post Office.
