Seedskadee National Wildlife Refuge borders the Green River in Southwestern Wyoming. The Green River was once known as the Seeds-ke-dee-agie or Prairie Hen River, "a name it received from the Crows, to whom its upper waters belong, and on which this bird is still very abundant."
