Sheridan Trail leads up Fish Creek through vast coal beds to the Wind River Valley. The trail is named in honor of General Sheridan who, with his cavalry traveled this trail on his way to Yellowstone Park. The Sheridan Trail is one of many historic trails in Fremont County.
