Shrap Post Office was established as Hemingway Post Office in April, 1905. In March, 1909 it became Shrap Post Office with Robert H. Shrap as its first postmaster.

Shrap Post Office was established as Hemingway Post Office in April, 1905. In March, 1909 it became Shrap Post Office and in December, 1910 it was discontinued. Its mail was then handled by Casper Post Office.
