History:

Spring Valley Post Office was established in December, 1900 and discontinued in September, 1921. It was re-established in May, 1928 and discontinued again in May, 1932 after which its mail was handled by Piedmont Post Office.

A small town and postoffice in Uinta County, on the Union Pacific Railroad, 18 miles from Evanston. Fine illuminating oil is found near Spring Valley.
