Origin of Name: 

Valentine Geyser is the highest in the basin (Norris Geyser Basin), averaging 75 feet at 18-hour intervals. The tube in it is very unusual, in that it descends more than 60 feet without a turn. It began to erupt on St. Valentine's Day, 1907.
