This town was platted by the Pioneer Town Site Company and was named by it. The word is from the Arapahoe Indian language and means "corn." (maize)

History:

Wahaba Post Office was initially established on July 23, 1907 with Martin O.T. Welch as postmaster but the order of establishment was rescinded on December 20, 1907. It was established again on November 15, 1910 with Fred Cram as postmaster. Its name was changed to Neble on September 9, 1912.
